Yinda Heavy Industry Ships Custom Apron Feeder to South Africa for Sand and Gravel Production Line

Project Background

March 07, 2026. Yinda Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. has officially shipped a custom heavy-duty apron feeder, which has passed all factory acceptance tests, to South Africa. The unit will serve as the core front-end feeding equipment for a large local sand and gravel aggregate production line, marking another key milestone for Yinda Heavy Industry’s expansion in Southern Africa, following successful project deliveries across the continent.

South Africa Vertical Bucket Elevator Factory

For the unique operating conditions of sand and gravel production in South Africa, we design and produce this apron feeder exclusively As the critical conveying hub at the start of the production line, it handles pressurized silo conditions, delivering consistent, continuous feed of large raw gravel, fine materials and powder to primary crushing, screening and downstream processes ensuring uninterrupted, stable operation of the entire line from the source.

Project introduction

Targeted optimizations have been made to address the harsh local environment, including high temperatures and alternating dry and wet conditions, as well as the challenging properties of South Africa’s sand and gravel: sharp edges, high abrasiveness, and wide particle size variation. Key upgrades include:

Wear-resistant reinforcement of core components to withstand highly abrasive materials

  • Enhanced environmental robustness for stable heavy-duty operation in variable climates.
  • Accurate, adjustable feeding capacity, with support for horizontal installation or inclines up to 20° for flexible on-site layout.
  • Simplified maintenance routines to cut the customer’s long-term operating costs.

Prior to shipment, the unit completed full pre-shipment acceptance by the South African customer. Earning positive feedback for its site-specific design, manufacturing precision and reliable operating performance. The equipment will arrive at the project site in late April 2026. Yinda Heavy Industry will deploy a professional technical team on site to oversee installation, commissioning and technical support, ensuring a fast, smooth ramp-up to full production.
