A leading cement producer in Karaganda, Kazakhstan produces cement from limestone and clinker. Its old elevators could not handle -40℃ temperatures, abrasive materials, and high dust levels, resulting in low capacity, frequent breakdowns, high maintenance costs, and non-compliant dust emissions.
Key Challenges
Low production capacity: The working environment is harsh, and the elevator cannot achieve a conveying capacity of 200m³/h.
Unstable operation: The elevator’s motor cannot operate stably within the temperature range of -40℃ to 25℃, and frequent shutdowns occur.
Frequent replacement of wear parts: The elevator’s wear parts cannot adapt well to the working conditions and need to be replaced once a month.
Non-compliance with environmental protection standards: The elevator has poor sealing performance during operation, which resulting in severe dust emissions.
Custom Solution
Yingda supplied an NE200 plate chain bucket elevator with inflow feeding and gravity discharge, optimized for local conditions:
- The chain and the hopper are made of manganese steel, which is more wear-resistant and extends the replacement cycle.
- Low-temperature-resistant motors ensure the elevator operates stably in cold climate environments.
- The elevator has a sealed dust-proof structure and is equipped with a negative pressure exhaust system, reducing dust emissions and meeting environmental protection standards.
- The heavy-duty frame design can withstand sandstorms and dust attacks, resulting in more stable output.
Implementation & Outcomes
We finished the NE bucket elevator on May 9, 2026 and will ship to Karaganda in late May .
- NE bucket elevator capacity reaches 205m³/h, meeting production needs.
- Weekly downtime reduced from 10 hours to 1 hour.
- Wear parts life extended to 4 months, cutting parts cost by 65%.
