Yingda Heavy Industry always values social responsibility, integrating public welfare practices into corporate development and giving back to society with practical actions.
Yingda Heavy Industry has made a sole donation of USD 320,000 to support the protection and inheritance of Huixian Paper Cutting, a precious intangible cultural heritage (ICH) rooted in Huixian County with a history of over 600 years. Known for its vivid patterns, diverse themes (integrating local folk customs and historical stories) and exquisite craftsmanship, this traditional folk art is currently facing inheritance challenges—most senior artisans are over 65 years old, and ancient cutting techniques, classic works as well as oral traditions lack systematic preservation and global promotion.
The donated fund is used for three core initiatives: building a public welfare training base to provide free skill courses for local young people and rural residents; establishing a digital archive to collect and preserve over 220 classic paper cutting works and 15 sets of core techniques; holding quarterly community exhibitions and school outreach activities to promote the craft’s cultural value. This project has attracted active participation from local ICH researchers, art educators and craft lovers, effectively promoting the intergenerational inheritance and dissemination of Huixian Paper Cutting.
